The museum in operation today in Kézdivásárhely opened on 3, March, 1972 and operated as section of the Kovászna County Museum. The basic exhibition presents the past of Kézdivásárhely, the history of the town including the local records of the War of Independence of 1848-49.

The exhibition of Robert Capa

Robert Capa was 18 years old when fleeing the Horthy Police he left Hungary in 1931. He travelled to Berlin, Vienna, Paris, then eventually to New York where during his stay WWII broke out. He was commissioned by a Paris based newspaper to photograph the Spanish Civil War. He immortalized the horror, killing and death of the war with subjective approach.

A taste of the exhibition

The idea of the foundation of an Actor Museum in Miskolc came up in the middle of the eighties by the actor Gyarmathy Ferenc. Following his initiation, the institution opened on 22 October 1996 as the Compilation of the Miskolc Gallery. The place was located in Déryné street, on location where once the first Hungarian stone theater was run.
