Children are the most defenceless victims of the global inequality that mostly strikes Sub-Saharan Africa. In an African county like Uganda, a child dies of poverty every five seconds. Famine, under nourishment, AIDS, malaria and other epidemics, as well as the lack of hygiene and medicine, overpopulation and military conflicts take twenty-five young children's lives across the world every second.

There is such a thing as multinational environment, we recognise any agent stock-photo, since we work with these visual signs, commissioners and commissioned create commercials together on a daily basis. Every time, when the final result is perfect, even when we are tired as death, we smack our tongues, we feel like hmm, that?s it, this is what we wanted. After so many meetings, emails sent at night, we come up with the final result together. We rejoice knowing what work is behind the final cut. <

The goal of the initiative is to bring the focus on the positive manifestations of multiculturalism - a phenomenon that is getting more and more powerful in Hungary - with the help of the exhibited photos and the messages hidden within them.

World Press Photo Exhibition 09

The exhibition remembers the year 2008 via 196 pictures along with their detailed history. An international jury of thirteen judged works of art by sixty-four photographers from twenty-seven countries. Awards were given in ten categories. The World Press Photo exhibition is the most comprehensive mirror of our times. The photos shown are of weekdays, politics, sport, art, nature, changes, scientific results and people seen in the news. All those who are keen on understanding what is going on in the world will find the showing really exciting.

Easy Drawings - The Exhibition of Svätopluk Mikyta

"Svätopluk Mikyta's drawings are like diary entries in which the author and the reader's personality slowly melt into one. The representation becomes simpler; pictures take their place in time, while keep on circulating. The questions in the middle of the circle, however, remain the same. You cannot give an answer right away. Neither can the author, nor the characters or the viewer.

Student Chachipe - International Photo Contest about Decades of the Roma Integration

In November 2008 the Open Society Institute and the OSA Archives announced an online photo contest entitled Student Chachipe (truth, reality). The contest announced in the framework of the Roma Decades Programme 2005-2015 invited young people between the ages of 12 and 25. They were invited to send in photos of the life of Roma people. A requirement was that the photos had to be from after 2005.
