János Damjanich Museum - Szolnok Gallery(Szolnok) The rebuilt Szolnok Gallery maintained by the Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County Museums is situated in a building on the banks of the river Tisza, in one of the protected buildings of the town. The building has not fulfilled its original function for long. Its new mission has been the location of exhibitions ever since the museum took it over from the local Jewish community. It has been one of the nicest places of exhibitions in the county.
Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County Museums Authority - János Damjanich Museum(Szolnok) The Municipal Museum of Szolnok was established in 1933. It moved to the building at Kossuth Square in 1952 into a building originally built as a block of flats but functioned as a Royal Hotel for some time. The complete reconstruction of the national building was done by 1996. The museum also won the title 'The Museum of the Year' the same year and later on in 2004.
Tabán Region House(Szolnok) The Tabán is one of the most populated parts of Szolnok. It is situated along the River Zagyva. The name came from the Ottoman-Turkish "tabaq-xane" word which meant tawer yard. Originally, only those parts of the town were called Tabán where the tawer shops were located. Later all the poor and untended quarters were called Tabán.
